The Children’s Oncology Group is primarily funded by the National Cancer Institute and also receives additional funding from other granting agencies and from philanthropic sources (

The Children’s Oncology Group has been awarded a grant by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a member of the NCI National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN).

Two major NCI NCTN Grants provide core funding: the primary or NCTN Operations Center Grant supports research operations and funds personnel at member institutions conducting research, and the NCTN Statistics and Data Center Grant supports these essential research functions. Other key grants include the Pediatric Early Phase-Clinical Trial Network (PEP-CTN) Grant, supporting 21 COG institutions charged with early phase clinical trials, and the NCI’s Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) Grant.

COG Conflict of Interest Policy

It is the policy of the Children’s Oncology Group to conduct its affairs with the highest standards of integrity and to ensure that all potential, perceived, and actual conflicts of interest, particularly financial, are identified and managed with respect to COG research. The purpose of this policy to identify the standards and responsibilities related to potential, perceived and actual conflicts of interest and to provide guidance for investigators as they balance their roles as clinicians, clinical investigators, scientific leaders, and translational researchers.
